PMP/CAPM Exam Preparation
Duration:
5 Days
Overview:
This course introduces participants to many of the concepts found on the CAPM and PMP certification exams. The course uses the Guide to the Project Management Body of Knowledge Fourth Edition as the source material, thus aligning with the current certification exams released after June 30, 2009. Participants will earn 35 PDUs upon completing this course. The numbers appearing after each topic (e.g., 1.1, 1.2) refer to the corresponding section of the PMBOK Guide Fourth Edition. The PMP certification is authored and maintained by the Project Management Institute, a non-profit organization that collects and disseminates project management best practices. Over 250,000 people in 170 countries hold the PMP credential. The PMP exam is generally viewed as notoriously difficult.
Audience:
The following individuals would benefit from participating in this workshop:
- Those beginning their PMP or CAPM certification preparation
- Those looking for a comprehensive coverage of the materials tested on the exam
- Those who have tried and failed to prepare on their own
- Those project managers who are ready to take their careers to the next level and attain the PMP certification
Prerequisites:
PMP candidates with a four-year degree or higher must have 4500 hours of project management experience in the last eight years. PMP candidates with a high school equivalent must have 7500 hours of project management experience in the last eight years.
